Hi, welcome to my website. This is just a space to express my ideas, thoughts and feelings. If you'd like something, feel free to send me an e-mail.
Hi! My name is Luis, and I'm 28 y.o. Brazilian living in Montréal. I came here with my wife, and our cat, and her name is Goiaba. At the moment, I'm learning French to get myself a job in the near future.
In my free time, I like to play fighting games (mostly just Street Fighter 6), and listen to music. My wife and I enjoy collecting vinyls very much, and we also have a really nice record player setup, which I'm very happy about, since it wasn’t financially possible for us to have these hobbies back in Brazil! She recently got the King Gizzard’s “Infest in the Rats’ Nest” album (which I didn’t have much knowledge about before) and we listened to it last weekend, their sound really blew me away.
Last Saturday, I went to a local SF6 monthly tournament at the venue I usually go bi-weekly. Ended up going 2-2 (One of my wins was someone who couldn’t be there). My first loss was expected, because I faced a really good player, but my loss at the loser’s side of the bracket ticked me off, because I was really hoping for a better result, and being kind of disappointed with my main hobby is what made me build this little website. I’m hoping that by talking about my interests, I might shed a new light in everything that I do.
Another reason too, is that social media isn’t really what I’m looking for. I don’t think that I could write like this in spaces like bluesky, medium or a private journal. I hope that, if you’re reading this, we find an organic connection through coincidence, without algorithms feeding you things in relation to what content you hit the like button, so, besides being a journal, this is also an invitation for you to write me an e-mail! I’ll reply to you, either through e-mail or through here.
Having said all that, if you’re here, thank you! I’ll probably be updating here once or twice a week, when I have enough stuff to talk about, so be sure to come back every now and then, have a good one!
